KB Home Annual Golf Tournament Raises Funds for RUHS’ Youngest Patients

RIVERSIDE, CA (Sept. 23, 2026) – The annual KB Home Inland Empire Golf Classic teed off for a good cause on September 14, raising funds to benefit Riverside University Health System (RUHS) Medical Center.

The long-running event at the Victoria Club in Riverside raises funds for the RUHS Foundation, which supports major hospital improvements and equipment purchases. Since the partnership began in 2006, the tournament has raised millions of dollars for pediatrics, cardiac care, cancer treatment and more.

“Twenty years ago, the KB Home Inland Empire Golf Classic began with a simple idea: bring our employees and trade partners together for a great day of golf while supporting a greater cause. Since then, we’ve raised more than $3 million for the RUHS Foundation,” said Erick Montano, President of KB Home Inland Empire division and Foundation board member. “We’re grateful to our sponsors, partners, golfers and volunteers for their generosity and community impact.”

This year’s proceeds will go toward refurbishing the hospital’s pediatric playroom and completion of the hospital’s Wellness Walkway.

The reimagined playroom will offer a welcoming, child-friendly environment for young patients to experience fun and a sense of normalcy while receiving treatment.

The Wellness Walkway is a peaceful, outdoor retreat adjacent to the RUHS Medical Center in Moreno Valley. At completion, the space will have walking paths, gardens, a covered pavilion, lunch areas and seating. The final phase of construction, which starts this fall, features a children’s area with educational games and sensory activities.

“Everywhere you look around the RUHS Medical Center, you can see evidence of KB Home’s philanthropy. The company was instrumental in the purchase of our mobile health clinic, CT scanner, MRI and a new space for the Riverside County Child Assessment Team,” said Jill Eaton, RUHS Foundation Director. “We are so grateful to KB Home for their long-standing partnership and their support of high-quality medical care for Riverside County.”

This year’s event attracted 145 golfers and was supported by 40 volunteers who enjoyed lunch from an In-N-Out Burger truck and wrapped up the day at a special thank-you dinner.
